As you promised,
I stand here waiting
to understand,
to calm down;
for my boat has been
tossed around,
Caught in a squall
and about to
capsize again;
its sail utterly
destroyed and its
body, broken.
I hear only of
thousands of
raging waves,
and my own cries
of desperately asking
to be saved.
There is but one
flicker I saw
from a distance
I give up my last
strength and take it as
a second chance,
and dreaming of
a cozy yet
abandoned cabin,
I reached out
my dear hand
and hoping
that my captain
will take me back
to his ship,
where finally
I can get some
real sleep
As you promised.
