Perhaps fear is the true enemy of love.
Fear of pain, rejection, being inadequate, or losing someone/something. It’s what holds us back from fully embracing love that often presents itself to us in ways we can’t understand.
Love comes with a risk. It is coupled with all these fears, in one degree or another. Maybe if one lets go of fear, it is their first step to loving truly, and a first handreach to feel being truly loved.
May we choose love over fear, all the time. It’s all worth it.
“There is no fear in love, but perfect love casts out fear. For fear has to do with punishment, and whoever fears has not been perfected in love.”
1 John 4:18 ESV
